Designing and planning changes for a home can be a daunting task. Decisions must be made about everything from electricity and fixtures to colors and flooring. Having an experienced professional advising you throughout the entire process can save you precious time and prevent you from making costly mistakes. Here at Wilmington Kitchens we consider ourselves design partners who can envision (and prepare for) possibilities that might not occur to you. We will handle the technical details and walk you through considering every detail necessary to make sure your new design sets the foundation for the home of your dreams. Our designers will keep you from getting bogged down in details that could throw your planning off track. We will take the guesswork out of the process while listening to your needs and wants. Our designers not only are trained to execute the technical aspects but they have practical experience that may be outside your area of expertise — for instance, knowing that the walls in historic homes are often slanted, an important detail if you want our cabinetry to lay flush to the wall. Or, if you’re considering adding a food pantry and can’t quite figure out where it will fit, our designers are constantly learning about all the latest cabinetry and may be able to recommend a specialized cabinet or one that is extremely narrow. You’ll be free to dream, while we think through all the measurements, material coordination, and construction logistics. When working with our designers, they will be responsible for the following: Visit your home to take measurements. Create a design and draft perspectives, elevations, and a floor plan. Develop a detailed budget and schedule. Order products and materials. Coordinate work with construction, painting, and other contractors. Oversee the installation and placement of the cabinets and other design elements. Our design team is second to none. We love putting our inspiration and years of experience to work planning our customers’ dream homes.
